Important information about our mountain home:

  1. Property is in the mountain area; the internet is provided by the satellite system. It works great, but not the fastest.
  2. There is no light covering the Tennis court or basketball court at night. This is a rural area. The sky is beautiful at night and is one of the best attributes of the home. The bright lights will disturb the neighbors.
  3. The water source is from the natural well system. Some soil and rocks in mountain areas contain minerals very high in iron. As rain falls or snow melts on the land surface and water seeps through iron-bearing soil and rock, iron can be dissolved into the water. It is normal to turn on the water and see yellow discharges from the pipe. Let it run for a bit then you’re good to go. The water source from the well can be very good with the minerals. Please do further research if it is safe for you and your guests.
  4. The house appliances are using propane. Meaning, that it will take a little longer to light up the stove, fireplaces, and hot tub, etc. Please be patient and allow propane to run for 30-45 seconds. Light it with caution. For the fireplace, turn on the propane, then press the “on” switch to “1” and leave it on. Propane is very expensive in the mountain area, so please turn it off if not in use.
  5. The gate area can be dark at night. Again, we can’t have too many lights on as it disturbs the neighbors. Please plan to arrive early in the day.
  6. The private Day Road has bumps due to squirrels. Please drive slowly and avoid revving your engine too loud. The neighbors are retired and don’t like loud noise passing by their homes.
  7. The hot tub is temporarily not in service. Due to high demand during covid, we are trying to get it fixed as soon as possible. Please contact our guest service for updates. Pool heating is not available. Water is great during hot weather days.
  8. No person(s) under the age of 18 are permitted in the swimming pool and hot tub/cedar tub/jacuzzi without the supervision of an adult 18 years of age or older.
  9. No alcoholic beverages and/or glass containers of any type are allowed in the swimming pool and hot tub/cedar tub/jacuzzi.
  10. The garage is off-limits to guests at this time.
  11. There will be no parties allowed without prior approval from the Host. Please discuss with Host if you plan to host a large event with a lot of guests.
  12. There will be no outside noise allowed after 9PM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
